Deschutes Recycling Now Accepting Painted and Treated Wood for Recycling

Painted and treated wood, in addition to other wood waste material, can be brought to Deschutes Recycling for recycling.  Customers don’t need to sort out their painted and treated wood, it can be mixed in with other wood.

The wood waste must be clean and cannot include contaminants such as plastics, rocks, garbage, or other non-wood waste materials, such as cement board, asbestos shingles or wood coated with lead based paint.

If you have clean wood waste that you are thinking about recycling, contact Habit for Humanity ReStore and see if they can take the material for their home building projects.
